If a statement is 1% slower than another, you can never lose more than 1%, no matter how many times you repeat it. Sure the total loss will go up, but the total loss generated by the (repeated) statement can not exceed 1%.

    Sorry. I was speaking of the business as the code. The loop being the managerial block enclosing the developers. :)
