I'm curious why you're assigning \108 to $/ and not \106. According to X12 standards the ISA/Interchange Header segment should be 106 chars long (segment terminator being the last one). Doing it this way cuts into the GS line below. Also, it doesn't look like your seek is working, as the ISA segment gets cut off, showing the GS segment on. Jesse
