I have programed in VC++, VB and Javascript, But have found none to be as easy and as fun to work with as perl. With perl you are given powerful tools with vary few restrictions. Unlike VC++ with its complex way of doing every task, with perl you not only do you know how each part works you can rewrite it, in short order, if you need extra functionality. Programing perl is a relaxing and enjoyable.

Perl has shown me that you don't have to make things complex to write powerful code.

How has your own perl experience made you a better person?

No, I'm not a better person,

I consider perl to be an extension of my person. Weather it has had a poistive or negative impact on me.... I'd say positive, I don't consider myself a hard-core programmer. I'm just a guy using perl to make my life easier and more enjoyable. It has helped me in the way that I analyze problems and situations. I am now taking different approaches to problems that I wouldn't have before. Also, I am a better planner now. I am more slow to act and to speak. It is better to have all my thoughts organized before I put them on paper, in a conversation, or into code. So, Perl has taught be alot, and yes, I believe it has helped in making me a better person.
