YES! This poll shows that the results... vaguely resemble an obscene gesture! Way to go!

hehe, somebody should write some code that queries different polls around the net looking for this type of outcome. It could be similar to the Sucks vs Rules meter.
It should search for this criteria:
- Polls should have 4 or 5 choices.
- Results for questions 2-3 ( or 4) should be greater than questions 1 and 4 ( or 5)
- Of these results there should be a single result that is significantly larger. Probably 50% on a four question poll?
Now that could go in to the Cool Uses For Perl.

Oh, how I wish I were attending Linux world. . .
It was either attend or buy a Linux rackmount system
for my home office. What would you have picked?
Mmmmm, dual processor, 512MBytes RAM, 108GBytes space,
and 2 NICs.

I won't go there because
- I can't afford it.
- My boss won't let me go.
- I don't use Linux. I prefer FreeBSD.
- I don't even know where it takes place. :)

In reference to #3: The BSD people got everybody at LinuxWorld wearing horns. I'm not kidding. (Maybe I'll post a picture of the back of my head tonight.)

What shocked me was everyone wearing badges that would try
to flip over and say BSD...

I'm lucky :) I just went up to my boss today and said "I'm going to be out tomorrow" he didn't even want to know why.

uuhhh, yea, the topic says my main point... | [reply] |
I wont attend Linuxworld for the same reason I wont visit
the local Perl mongers: I would rather not travel out
somewhere when "virtual conferencing" seems good enough?
How about people from remote places like Africa and Europe
and China? It's just not fair to keep holding physical
conferences.
