Hello Monks,

I was just curious...it seems as though when an update is made to an original post, it is not included any where in Newest Nodes, nor is there any type of system which alerts the monastery that said update has been made. I was thinking perhaps there could be an "Updates" section in Newest Nodes? I did a search on this topic and didn't seem to find any nodes, except those discussing update times of Newest Nodes, obviously not my target ;)

So, what do ya'll think? Good idea, bad idea, already mentioned, discussed or, even worse, in existence in some remote corner of my already extensive link page? Just thought maybe I was on to something, of course I seem to be wrong about that more often than not............ :p

I was thinking perhaps there could be an "Updates" section in Newest Nodes?

Geez, then every node of mine would create around five entries in that section within the first minutes after posting (until I've finally finished all my spelling corrections and rewording attempts)...  I'd seriously have to reconsider my posting habits, if that section were to happen :P

Update: in other words, if so, please let the poster decide (checkbox, or so) whether it is a significant update that you would normally mark as such (like this one).

Yes, we could have a button similar to the check box above the "stumbit" button on profile updates, where the user could chose whether or not this was a significant update, as well as a mechanism that only posts the latest update in the Updates section, which would, in summary, basically give the reader the option of whether or not each update would replace the last posted update by checking the "significant update" box....

Hm. That would be fun, from the other side there's no need to show in the list all updates to the node, just the latest one.
