There is a difference, from [doc://warnings|perldoc warnings]:

<c>-w</c> does everything [doc://warnings] does, not the other way around. That being said, it is unlikely the OP wants to enable warnings for [doc://use]'d modules ([mod://XML::Parser], etc.).
