    There is already a way to do 1. above. On your User Settings page, change the setting for Null vote:

      I searched through the FAQ for about half an hour without finding this; it didn't occur to me that it might be in user preferences at all. A FAQ entry making it more obvious how to do this would be nice.

    SHIFT-reload in Mozilla doesn't keep form settings. And if you use the talk button, the form is reset as well.

    Go to your user preferences and set the 'Null vote' pop-up to on. Done ;-)

    The Konqueror browser found in KDE allows one to click a previously selected radio button again to unselect it. Personally it's not enough to make me to switch from Mozilla, but it is sort of cool, and I believe it's a feature unique to Konqueror.

    Others have already told you how to accomplish #1. But I do this through option #1. If you have the chatter nodelet on (most of us do), then press the button named "talk" and see what happens. :-)
