I have seen so many fellow monks at confession, admitting their many sins, so many that I've having flashbacks to Catechism. Reconcilliation is good for the soul however many monks have been admitting sins which are really attributes according to our Father Larry.

So you used up all your votes in an attempt to promote yourself to the next level. It was going to happen sooner or later but you were impatient. Good for you!!!

You found it easier to write a "nonPerl" node than to keep hacking away at the code that has been draining you. To tell the honest truth, when I came upon this site I was glad to see some humorous nodes and some general programming nodes. This made my initial visits comfortable and enjoyable. If this was just all code, way over my head, I would not have stayed and would not have started learning Perl. Thank you for showing the many facets of this Perl culture!!!!

You have been found worthy by your fellow monks and promotted with upvoting but you don't feel worthy. Shame on you!!! Take the honor bestowed upon you by your fellow monks and be proud of it. Keep writing and submitting nodes and be ambitious.

If you still feel like you have to whip yourself with birch branches, do it recreationaly and have fun... it's the weekend dontchaknow.

IMHO I enjoy logging on to Perlmonks each and every day. I have learned far more than I realized here and will continue to keep learning. Yeah I haven't posted any code or programs... yet. I am still learning. My experience has come from the few writeups from when I felt I could contribute something and from ++'ing nodes that were extremely helpful or insightful. But I know that real promotion only comes from really knowing your Perl.

I wish all would continue the good work; asking questions, providing guidance and writing the beneficial and sometimes humorous "nonPerl" nodes.
