The above picture was taken on November 24, 2012. The gentleman pictured with me and my family is one Buddy Valastro AKA The Cake Boss. He was doing his Homemade for the Holidays tour, and was in Lowell, Massachussets, so I bought the tickets for the three of us and upgraded them, as it was my daughters 16th birthday, to get to meet him after the show. I can honestly say that Buddy is one of the nicest persons that I have ever met.

Legalese: Unless otherwise noted, all code published by Thomas Stanley (TStanley)on PerlMonks.org is free software. You can use it, redistribute it and/or modify it under the same terms as Perl itself.

On July 22, 2022, Stanley Healthcare, which was a division of the Stanley, Black and Decker, was sold to the Swedish company, Securitas.

On September 14th, 2020 my family and I packed up our belongings, after selling our house and we moved over 2000 miles from New Hampshire to San Antonio, Texas. About a year prior, my wife had developed pneumonia and a MRSA infection. As a result of this, she spent over a month in the ICU unit, followed by another month in a rehab hospital. The doctors suggested that a warmer climate would be more beneficial as it was the cold of New England that would affect her more. My mom already lives in Texas, so it seemed like a good place to go. We sold our house in NH and had purchased a new one two weeks later. We signed over our old house on the 11th, and we signed for our new one on the 14th, while travelling down there.

On September 30, 2015 I accepted a job offer, and I will be starting it on October 26. I will be working for Stanley Healthcare (a division of Stanley Black and Decker) as a Field Solutions Engineer, where I will be installing Real Time Location Systems (RTLS) into hospitals and other health care facilities. I will be travelling around most of the United States, so if I show up in your area, let me know :)

I have the following books offered in the library:
