I noticed that all the content in the Perl News section is collected by the perlnewsbot directly from www.news.perl.org. The news section hasn't been updated since April 17th and I'm pretty sure something perl-related, however trivial it may be, has happened since then.

User-submitted news items work very well on many sites such as slashdot (no flames, I only read the headlines :D). Is there any reason they couldn't work here? What do you guys think?

Replies are listed 'Best First'.

Consider use Perl; for all your Perl news needs.

    --f

P.S. It looks like TPJ is starting to get some things back online. Yay!

Thanks for the advice guys, it does however beg the question why this site even has a news section, but I'll leave that for when I feel like losing some more xp :-)

It has come to my attention that this subject already came up. So I guess you can just downvote it and move on (although it doesn't sound like it was ever resolved in the first place). Sorry for the extreme inconvenience :p
