in reply to new tag

Since this the the only node that came close...

New tag suggested : [author://].
Imagine a CB moment :

Wow... [id://5993] is really cool... [author://5993]++

The purpose of this tag is pretty obvious :)

OK, so here are the arguments again ;--)

    • more work for Vroom for very little benefit: [author://5993] instead of mirod? Not a lot of keystrokes saved!
    • I like calling people by their names, and it's much easier to remember than an ID number.
    • I am not a number, I am a free man !

    Be seing you!

I'm suggesting this tag, not forcing :)) and Yes, I do know Vroom has a pretty long Todo list.
The whole idea is to easily point to the author of a certain node without actually having to look up who it is... Similar to the node title in [id://]. If saving keystrokes is your main concern, you're always free not to use it :))

You're a number, just like the rest of us. Learn to live with it! :)))
Seriously, I'm not one to assign people their own private number. I don't address people by their homenode id, I don't think anyone here does.
