As process P1 is an server which is multithread and one of thread will try to read status from process P2. So process P1 will not have way to capture stdout of process P2.

Being multithreaded has nothing to do with the ability to capture stdout. Aslo I don't understand how a named pipe would have helped. Maybe try to start from the beginning, explain what's actually going on, and what you want to achieve? Perl 6 - the future is here, just unevenly distributed	[reply]
