Confirming toolic's observation that it is the attempt at providing the time zone (UTC) that throws off Time::Piece (tested on T::P ver 1.20_1). It works fine if you leave out the TZ. The error seems to be outside the perl module, when it calls an external strftime function. "You're only given one little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it." - Robin Williams
