(Correct me if I am wrong, but) I am not personally aware of any language-specific UI modes on the site. If it is an issue of importance to you, then perhaps you should review the notes on the PM dev group page, and offer your time and energy to make it a reality.

Hope that helps.

Update: 2014-12-16
Since you indicate that such a mode does exist, can you please indicate how to get to it? Thank you.

What would be the point of having a UI in French (or, for that matter, in any human language other than English), when the site's content is almost exclusively in English?

When I am not on PM or some other English language site, I spend a sizable part of my free time contributing on French-language Perl forums, writing articles on Perl in French and also translating into French articles and documentation about Perl. This week I have spent quite some time reviewing a translation into French of the first chapters of chromatic's Modern Perl book. So I am actively involved in the promotion of Perl among French speakers.

But I would certainly not waste time translating the PM UI into French, because it would be just useless.

.... my Internet browser already had French UI, and I prefer to select French UI on sites that do have it...
not a big deal actually, I just thought it is already here....

actually my original post was a question that wad presented in a kind of a jokingly stupid request, I am not surprised no-one got it, my fault

It makes no sense to compare a volunteer-run site to one that has nearly ten thousand employees and assets worth tens of billions of dollars. As with most other volunteer communities, if you want something, you volunteer to do it, or you convince others to do it. You don't tell people who answer your question they're wrong.

Mohl byste mi prosím vysvětlit k čemu vám bude přeložené uživatelské prostředí, když prakticky veškerý obsah je stejně anglicky? Přeložit Ksichtknihu má smysl, frantíci tam píšou po žabožroutsku, němci po germánsku a tak dál a tak podobně, ale tady je to k ničemu. Pokud neumíte anglicky, tak jsou vám PerlMonks na houby.

Update: I checked the homepage translated by Google to Czech. Erm. Well. The UI is mostly, kinda understandable, though sometimes you need to know the original to understand. The nodes ... not so much. "You disrespect french ..." => "Ty neúcta francouzsky ...". No cookie! Google did not understand that the "disrespect" is supposed to be a verb in that sentence, translated it as a noun and therefore also the declination used for the "french" is all wrong.

"existuje () pro hash dítě na klíč vytvoří nadřazený klíč? Bug?" What? Makes no sense whatsoever. "Pomoc s pomocí Net :: SQL a vyhlášení výsledků jako proměnné"? Huh? "exe mohou být provedeny z cmd ale obalový materiál do perl nepodaří spustit"? "obalový materiál"? Oh, wrapping. "Nezměněný dítě návratový kód na Windows"? What? "Připojte se více řádků v řetězci na základě regulární výraz." I don't want myself to join anything!

use strict; použít varování; my $ řádek = ""; my $ inarray = 0 +; while (<DATA>) {žvýkat; if (/ ^ array | ^ unassigned /) {print "$ + řádek \ n", pokud $ inarray; $ Řádek = $ _; $ Inarray = +m / ^ pole /; další; } Výjimkou případů, kdy $ inarray; +$ Řádek = "$ _."; } Print "$ řádek \ n", pokud $ inarray; + __DATA__ ....

Honestly it's not that bad, I checked the French and German versions.

Most of the problems stem from the fact that GT can't distinguish between Perl terminology (which shouldn't be translated) and "real" words (like use warnings shouldn't be l'utilisation avertissements )

Furthermore is English maybe not the best source language! Too many ambiguities where meaning depend on context and background knowledge.ą Other languages with stricter grammatical rules should be easier translated.

Taking also into assumption how badly many posts are already worded in English, this outcome is really pas mal! ;)

ą) e.g. "l'utilisation" means "the use" (noun), not the order (imperative verb) "utilise!"

PS: pardon me for injecting a serious debate into this troll thread ;-)
