Why not create a repo on GitHub, BitBucket, or a related service? Repos are pretty easy to maintain once they're set up....and I've found that having public code tends to make me a touch more responsible with the release process. As in, commenting a little more clearly, fixing up silly mistakes, adding docs, etc. (At least that's been my experience, YMMV.)

Who knows? You might inspire others to do the same and help show that Perl is still alive and well.
