This is silly.

Yes, of course Perl is coming to your house, dumping you out of your chair, throwing strict on all of your code, and stepping on your fingers with its jackbooted feet on its way out, so you can't not ever use encapsulation again.

No one has ever added a feature or a test or documentation to Perl, hoping that it'll help people get their jobs done better.

I wake up each day in fear that Hashtables fall to the hands of "language revisionists" (sorry!) (re: typos of keys). That will be a slaughter.

IMHO, you need to worry about more important things.
