Not only has this been explained to you many times over the years, literally every time you post advice on how to do so is displayed along with a set of links going into great detail. You continue to choose to ignore all of this.

Except you don't believe this, you repeatedly (recent example) fail to do this, resulting in posting here expecting someone to fix your problems for you, and have argued against it in the past, more than once.

And there it is, the crux of the issue. Your expectation is that you should be able to continually dump rubbish here and have someone clean it up for you, even if you've been taught many times how to do so yourself. "words does nothing" is untrue, you simply choose to ignore them, rather than take the time to learn something that would benefit you personally.

To get a feel for the sort of questions that get good answers have a look at Best Nodes. That may help you understand what is required for good questions.

But your biggest issue at PerlMonks is that you don't seem to learn from the answers that you do get. Many of your questions are seeking a solution to the wrong problem or are too focused on a bad solution to a very small part of a bigger problem. Many of the answers you get are about trying to get you to re-examine your approach. Collectively the monks have a huge amount of experience and are interested in helping people improve their own coding. When the monks ask for more information, or suggest an alternative approach you should consider their advice seriously. Often we will use your small issue to help you learn and grow as a programmer, but you need to trust that we know what we are talking about and show that you are prepared to accept advice and learn.

Bare code as a solution to the specific and narrow question asked does nothing.

Personally, I don't actually believe you to be stupid. You are, however, the laziest monk who has ever had long term participation here; quite easily. And that married to your out of date, half-baked skills, absolute lack of Perl chops, and braggadocio begins to make you the most odious monk who has ever had long term participation.

bigup401, I'm sorry to report that you are now challenging the legendary sundialsvc4, dominating Worst Nodes in a way that I hoped I would never see again.

At least, I sometimes got a laugh from sundialsvc4's overly elaborate posts. Yours are at the opposite end of the spectrum, without a doubt the most consistently boring posts I've ever seen on PM. Just monotonously and relentlessly demanding, over and over again, that others do your job for you (presumably without payment) ... with every post done in a rush, full of simple mistakes, inaccuracies and ambiguities. What satisfaction do you gain from your participation here?
