    That isn't a JSON problem, again you fundamentally misunderstand the problem and blame the tool. 1nickt told you here. Not a Perl, DataTables or JSON problem, a developer error.

      of course I understand about "server-side processing" and even implemented it using nodejs.

      can you point me to perl solution to the problem? I need excel-like sorting and filtering - please show me and I will switch to it

        Either port your node code to perl, or follow the advice in the DataTables documentation, and the advice given previously in this thread. You've posted the same thing many times while ignoring all the points everyone keeps making, and you claim you're not inflexible...
