Delete all the local checksums and let cpan download them again.
rm /home/ken/.cpan/sources/authors/id/?/??/*/CHECKSUMS
map{substr$_->[0],$_->[1]||0,1}[\*||{},3],[[]],[ref qr-1,-,-1],[{}],[sub{}^*ARGV,3]

    G'day choroba,

    I'm not seeing this checksum issue with other cpan installations; however, if the problem persists, I will consider your suggested fix. Having said that, it does sound a bit drastic. Is there a reason why you're suggesting deleting all checksums?

    In this particular instance, I've decided not to pursue App::Pod2CpanHtml. It's 9 years since it was last updated. An issue (#121652) was raised 5 years ago; a patch was included; the Status is still "new". I'm considering this to be abandonware and unsuitable for my purposes.

      See Addressing CPAN vulnerabilities related to checksums:

      PAUSE has been updated so that the CHECKSUMS files now include cpan_path for each file, which gives the relative path to the directory for which the checksums were generated.

      map{substr$_->[0],$_->[1]||0,1}[\*||{},3],[[]],[ref qr-1,-,-1],[{}],[sub{}^*ARGV,3]

        ++ Thanks. I had no idea about any of this.

        I ran the rm command; updated CPAN to v2.29; and changed the urllist:

        cpan[1]> o conf urllist urllist 0 [https://www.cpan.org/] 1 [https://cpan.metacpan.org/] Type 'o conf' to view all configuration items cpan[2]>

        CVE-2020-16155 ignores how indexing works, youd have to request faker/samenametarball to get it
