    Other - Imagination

Poll said "most frequent journeys" and nothing definitively qualified we are talking about only the physical, I spend most of my time wandering around in my own head. :-P

Could also maybe say "Playstation", but that's really just powered by a combination of other people's imagination and electricity.

Just another Perl hooker - My clients appreciate that I keep my code clean but my comments dirty.

    Other - Desire.

What keeps me moving is the desire to be somewhere else, no matter what means of transport I use.

If I take the car (diesel) to a region one hour drive away, then walk there for three hours and then ride back home, *frequency* wins for the car (as does distance), but time wins for human power. Dilemma: what to choose …

Electricity (my Tesla vehicle), manpower (kayaking) and an electric-manpower hybrid (my electric bike).

Retired - walk every day - drive when absolutely necessary.

I drive to visit my parents, to chorus rehearsal, and for big shops. I ride if it's a small shop, or if it's an errand that's nearby.

Walk to work daily and pretty much anywhere that I normally go within my city. Bus to the outer parts of the city. Train to near-to-mid-distance cities (it's my preference for anything I can reach within 10 or so hours by train) and flight beyond that.

Come to think of it, though, I haven't gone anywhere beyond walking distance since the start of the pandemic.

Still using my VW Golf to travel to chorus rehearsals, my trailer up North, and to see my parents in Waterloo. Still loving driving a car with a turbo. So much fun at the on-ramps when the tailgating doofus disappears into the distance. :D

Second choice is my bicycle .. with both panniers, I can move a lot of groceries. I also use it for trips around my T.O. neighbourhood, smiling as I pass the cars while driving in my protected bike lane. :)

I would be interested in getting an electric car, but right now they're out of my price range, and I haven't seen good things about the build quality of the Tesla. My preferred form factor is a hatchback (I've had three VW Golfs and a VW Fox wagon since 1987), and I haven't seen that many eCars in that form factor.
