I'm sure you already know this, but there will be the PerlKohaCon, a joint conference on Perl and Koha in Helsinki. This will take the place of the YAPC::Europe this year.

Well yes, we both saw and spoke the PerlKohaCon organizer today and he's also a bit late with call for papers and getting started with ACT (which is often offline these days)

My search also produced a Raku-Conference in Riga this year which looks a lot like a product of a well known organizer of Perl-Confs in Riga. (which takes off the naming pressure of the Helsinki conf)

No luck with Swiss Perl Workshop yet

But seriously where do I find more info on TPC in Toronto?

Interesting. I just received that via the mailinglist:

The Perl and Raku Conference 2023

The Perl Foundation is delighted to announce that the annual North American Perl and Raku Conference will be held in Toronto, Canada on July 11 to 13, 2023. The venue will be the DoubleTree (a Hilton Hotels property), located at 108 Chestnut St in downtown Toronto. That's directly North from Toronto's city hall, close to public transit and one of the country's biggest malls, the Toronto Eaton Centre.

Toronto is Canada's largest city, and the city and surrounding area offers many attractions for a vacation before or after your conference attendance. For our American visitors: you're in luck, three of your dollars are about the same as four of ours.

Call For Papers is now open! You can submit your talk Ideas at https://tprc.to/papers . Talk submission deadline is March 31 Midnight UTC. Talks must be given live and in-person. If you are looking for any talk ideas, try out the conference wiki.

Early bird pricing is available. Purchase your ticket now through April 15th for the low price of $275 USD. You can purchase your tickets now at https://tprc2023.sched.com/tickets.

Visit our website at https://tprc.to/. Information on special hotel rates can be found at https://tprc.to/location/. We've managed to arrange for a really great room rate for the conference days, and there are a few rooms for before and after the conference, in case you'd like to stay longer for a little vacation.

        ...

      Cheers Rolf

That's right at the heart of Toronto. Everything is in easy reach. No car needed. I'm no longer in the Greater Toronto Area, but I was for 20 years until recently. Feel free to ask me anything.

Blue Jays play the Diamondbacks July 14th, 15th, and 16th. The 15th is also 'Chappy Couture Shirt Giveaway Day' according to their play schedule. Not sure how many Perl/Raku hackers are also baseball fans but good seats are still cheap this far out. Ballpack is less than 10 minutes away by car or 20-30 minutes by foot or transit from the hotel hosting the conference. Might be worth making it a long weekend in Toronto.
