I'd like to see the current list of quips, just to grab the average sense and usage: I collected Monkbar quips once, but I can find it only obfuscated now.

I'd add also some famous sentences from some respected ones.

    I think it would be better to work in vacuo; don't be biased by prior art.
    If you suggest something which is "good" but "too similar to an existing entry", we can tweak it as we go.

    Today's latest and greatest software contains tomorrow's zero day exploits.

    Reinventing the wheel

    Oh yeah, we had a nice thread about that topic over a decade ago (oh man, i'm getting old): Reinventing the wheel

    And even though this discussion was started by a much younger, dumber version of myself, i'm still happy about the decision to write my own webserver. As a matter of fact, i'm working on a commercial product right now that uses a (much improved, changed and reimagined/reinvented) version of that old project of mine as a basis.
