I live, work, and study full time at Prana, headquarters of The Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA), and seminary campus of Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy (PTS), in Los Angeles (LA). All acronyms aside, it's a wonderful life.

I am not a monk, but monkish at times. Combining the creative and technical in service to the spiritual is the great adventure of my life.

Lately I have been using Perl, as Larry Wall put it in "Linux" this month, as "...the glue you would use to construct a solution." My background is in Java, with some Lisp and C thrown in for kicks, but my major talent is for assimilating new information, finding the tools for the job, and learning all I can in the journey from here to there. It's programming, it's life, and it's a lot of fun.
|
When I'm not working, I enjoy surfing in the Ventura area and visiting my family nearby in Ojai. I love reading poetry, especially the mystics and romantics (Rumi, Hafiz, Emerson, Blake, Keats, Whitman - you decide who is who).
