Mine has at least 100 (that's the estimation - I stopped counting at 54).

And I can't immagine how to work with a keyboard with less letters - the essential "CTRL-ALT-DEL" already counts as 10. And then there are ESC, ALTGR, ENTER, a second CTRL, NUM, several Fs ... and of course the letters in the type and the brand ... .

    So long, Rata

No matter how you count them, you see progress. Back in the day, we had to write FORTRAN all in upper case.

Back in the day, we had to write FORTRAN all in upper case.

I just checked. All the keys on my keyboard are still in uppercase!

You missed the word "write". We had to write our FORTRAN programs on coding sheets so that the keypunch operators on the IBM 029s could keypunch the cards. Keypunch operators could be cranky.

    ∞ - I use an Optimus keyboard

    Even something close to 262_144**(72*72*80) isn't ∞.

Update: Thanks to Math::BigApprox (and less than 1 CPU tick), that translates to:

    % perl -MMath::BigApprox=c -le"print c(262_144)**(72*72*80)" 7.5237e+2_247_176

Definitely a multiple blankster, although one of them has a button labeled "PANIC".
eta: ...though only barely, even those letters are fading due to heavy usage.

(slightly more OT: I accidentally poured hot tea over my Das Keyboard, and it quit its services subsequently. Fellow users, take that as a warning... it did not mind coffee or beer, but never hot tea.)

Do repeated "letters" count as one ?

The letter "F" appears 15 times, if you include the function keys, and the 2 "shift" keys.

I remapped Caps Lock (nee cPS LOCK) to the letter A. So much frustration gone. Is that one letter or two?

26 - the rest are numbers, symbols, and control characters.

26 letter keys. 166 letters on the front of the keyboard. No, 170. I didn't notice the "Dell" logo at first.

UPDATE: 171. The capslock LED has a label.

Did you also count all the letters on the *bottom* of your keyboard? Type and serial information, regulations etc etc

      Enjoy, Have FUN! H.Merijn

No, that's why I was careful to say the count was only the front of the keyboard. The bottom has some Chinese, and I am uncertain how to count those. Some of the writing on the underside is pretty tiny, too! I'd have to get out my magnifying glass.

        Dum Spiro Spero

I've got 187 letters on top of pressable buttons.

There's only 26(UC)+22(lc) unique letters however. (Yay for one-liners & hashes)

Mine was a blankster, now I have 26 letters that my wife wrote on washi tape because I have temporarily (I hope) lost the use of my right hand and it turns out that is very frustrating to type one handed on a blank keyboard.
