. Refactoring, by Martin Fowler
. Writing Solid Code, by Steve Maguire
. Software reuse Techniques, by Carma McClure

They approach the issue at hand from different angles and add to each other nicely. Dont let "Microsoft Press" scare you away from the "Writting Solid Code" book <G>
