You could also go to: http://search.cpan.org or http://metacpan.org and type SOAP, or XML in the search box to find many choices. :)

metacpan will find lots of ancient choices, soap modules from 2000 .... XML::Compile::SOAP is the most comprehensive, might as well start there

I was only attempting to show that there many options to choose from, and how to find them. not, that your suggestion was the wrong suggestion/option.
