What you are saying makes no sense. If you extracted the archive, there is the file INSTALL. Follow the instructions there.

Hi Corion, I downloaded mod_perl tar gz file & extracted the files from it. After that I went on command line & then went to the path where I have extracted the files : C:\Perl64\mod_perl-1.31 & then executed perl Makefile.PL & this command executed successfully. After that I executed make install It gave me error saying make is not recognized as internal or external command I tried nmake install as well, but that as well didn't work. Please advise. Thanks, Rahul Verma

"Not work" is not a term we can help you with. Maybe you can find out more in what way the nmake installation failed.

Also, choroba pointed out to me that INSTALL.win32 is the more apt link for you to read.

If you need help installing make or nmake, please consult with your system administrator.
