With the new system, this does not show up in the "this is how it renders" part

Are you sure? If so, that would have to be a pretty major browser bug, since I know for sure that the server is sending the new version of the node in the "this is how it renders" part.

Also, whilst trying to re-create the problem, I discovered a different (PM) bug.

When viewing this thread from the OP down, this post shows a reputation of 4; but when I view the post on its own, it shows a reputation of 0?

Yep, I can confirm that. My current guess is that factoring out the display of the reputation managed to have the reputation being fetched in a context such that it is being fetched from the wrong thing. Though my quick attempts to guess at what that wrong thing might be failed, so I could just be wrong.

Update: Okay, trying again in a context where I had more access to information, my first guess was actually right.

Thank you all for the bug report(s). Fixed.

Hi, I see a vote issue as well, when I go to Perl Monks Discussion to upvote new questions, I see Reputation: 0 for all the questions I just upvoted, this is not their true reputation, if I click to view the actual node, a non-zero number is shown

      update:

Viewing this node through its parent shows Reputation: 5 (no significant downvotes) which is impossible since I just posted the node

Curiously 5 is also the parents reputation

And indeed, when I viewed the entire thread immediately after posting the above post, it showed a rep of 4; viewing directly showed 0 as expected.

It's hard for me to prove it as the (browser) bug only happens intermittently, but I am quite sure I've seen stuff on show up in the display view that I didn't see in the how it renders view.

All I can do is commit to taking a snapshot of the renders view each time I edit a post before I switch to the display view until it happens again.
