in thread Feature: Auto hide. Change: show node vote counts to all, not just logged in users.

Minus: search engines would still see the content.

Thats only if the default anonymous view is the same as the view for search engines -- no technical reason for this to be the case

I think adding additional CSS classes is far easier in the context of this framework than special cases for bots.

And I don't see a reason to "auto-hide" posts from bots, that's what consideration is for.

Disagree (respectfully, of course!) re lack of reason to auto-hide.

If a node is so bad (misleading, false, gawd-awful, horrifying bad practice, etc) that it needs to be hidden, it (IMO) needs to be excluded from what bots sweep up and pass on to the innocent -- with the PM reputation suggesting the node is a valid suggestion.

I think adding additional CSS classes is far easier in the context of this framework than special cases for bots.

Of course css is trivial on the easyness scale, but bots don't care about css,

but its not like creating a bot view in "pm/everything" is that difficult ("copy/paste" anonymous view )

And I don't see a reason to "auto-hide" posts from bots, that's what consideration is for.

But that is part of the proposal by marto/jdporter

Even if it was (I'm not so sure bots are an essential point in their reasoning) I don't see the point.

        > ("copy/paste" anonymous view )

        I doubt it's that easy.
