Last year I spent a day in Lund, passing through Copenhagen and Malmö. While it was quite a "corporate" visit, my wander around Lund for dinner was quite pleasant, and hardly anyone had a problem with English. In fact, I listened in on a corporate training session (some HR "diversity" material), which was delivered in English only.
To be so close to the rest of Europe, and yet in a charming, friendly smallish town, seems idyllic. -QM
