    A japh of Perl programmers. :P Some animals have more than one collective noun, describing their activity or position. Like a raft, brace, or flock of ducks for floating, standing, and flying. Maybe Perl programmers need multiple nouns.

    I'd name a bunch of perl programmers just a TIMTOWTDI, nothing more, 'nuff said.

    perl -le'print map{pack c,($-++?1:13)+ord}split//,ESEL'
      I think we have all missed the most important one unless someone has already mentioned it.

      A Tim Toady of Perl programmers

        Hmm... reasonable defaults... can you think of A Tim Toady of python programmers? Maybe, under very rare circumstances. The default is proper: A Tim Toady.

        perl -le'print map{pack c,($-++?1:13)+ord}split//,ESEL'

    Since Perl is the glue language...
    • A Polyglot of Perl programmers

    edit: for the record, I did not see the "polyglot" reference made by dsheroh until after I posted. Honest! :(

      Synchronicity, spirit of the radio, zeitgeist…
