    Because?
      Because not allowing users to delete nodes is frankly silly, not matter what tales are told about why it isn't allowed.

        Once you say something, be it in real life or online, in the presence of others, it's silly to assume it can ever truly be taken back or forgot.

        Maybe because that is considered an egotistic, immature reaction, and we strive to be above that?

        The liberty to unspeak your words is like the liberty to shave your head: you could do that but your cow-orkers might think you're undergoing chemotherapy....

        ps. You can consider your own nodes for reapage. Halfway there.
