...Perl, of course! Here follows the Mr Sparkle commercial from the Simpsons episode In Marge We Trust, translated to Perl. I don't suggest you try running it. :)

JapaneseBusinessman->say("Oh, hello, American investor."); JapaneseBusinessman->say("I see you are interested in distributing Mr. + Sparkle in you home prefecture."); JapaneseBusinessman->say("You have chosen wisely. But please -- don't +believe me. Observe this commercial."); MrSparkle->summon('from box'); MrSparkle->float('around room') while (sparkles_fly()); MrSparkle->say(sub { $i = disrespectful($dirt), can($you, see("that I am serious?")); }); MrSparkle->bounce(keys %BabysXylophone); @women = TrioOfDancingWomen->new(location => 'ocean floor'); MrSparkle->say(sub { out(my $way, @you), $this = not $place for @loafers; join('me') or die; can($you, "do any ", `less`, "?"); }); @women->say(sub { ($what_a) = grep { /brave/ } @corporate_logos; I->accept(CHALLENGE, MR_SPARKLE); }); $women[1]->say("Awesome power!"); MrSparkle->transform(@women, SumoWrestler); Reporter->say($two_headed_cow, sub { $what = y/our/plans/ for (@summer_vacation, '?'); $two_headed_cow->shatter('upon seeing', MrSparkle); @corporate_logos->die('by being sucked into a black hole'), MrSparkle- +>survive; Announcer->say(sub { for (@lucky_best_wash) { use MrSparkle; } });

I SEND YOU LUCKY MR SPARKLE BROCHURE, ONE HUNDRED PER CENT!

    OMG, I was literally laughing with tears in my eyes. This is the funniest code I've seen in years...
    MrSparkle->say(sub { out(my $way, @you), $this = not $place for @loafers; join('me') or die; can($you, "do any ", `less`, "?"); });

    God, I love the Simpsons. Does anyone remember when Homer was meaner (rather than a simple idiot)? It's sad|interesting|revealing to watch the evolution of the Simpsons over the years. How I miss their first season (1990?), sitting in my room at Smith hall at Ga Tech, watching the Simpsons and drinking my Frosted Orange from the Varsity.

    *sigh*

    Ahh, the Simpsons. Still funny after all these years, even the code is funny.

    Look Marge, a poem! Woohoo! And it is in perl... mmmm... peeeerl...

    Love the Simpsons, in fact I'm almost a compulsive recorder of episodes when they are aired. :) This is fun - I like it very much (++).

    You have moved into a dark place.
    It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

    You are the greatest coder ever.
    In dictionaries and online searches your visage should be embalzoned next to the word hacker.
    I wish to join your cult or die! Can you see I am serious?

    There's more than one way to do it, but only some of them actually work.
