I know this is pretty simple but I have just spent an hour searching and cannot find the answer:

how do I create a folder in perl?

    mkdir is your friend....

    update: It will work across platforms.

    folder in Win32 or Mac? Unless I'm missing something, check out mkdir.

    File::Path if you need to create/remove directory trees.

    Hi Chris,

    You could do this:
    $mkdir perlStuff, 0755 or warn "Could not create the perlStuff directo +ry: $!";
