in reply to Perl 6 will primarily be:

So many good options, I'll have to sign up more accounts so I can vote for all of the following:

Like Perl5, only slicker.

Definately slicker, I love the syntax changes I've seen so far and I've always really, really hated the -> operator.

Even more annoying to uptight language grannies

Hmmm, where'd that 'Perl is line noise' guy go...

The leverage Parrot needs to conquer the world

Or at least get more businesses to take Perl seriously.

Perl's downfall. Woe! Despair!

No chance of this from what I've seen :).

I'm waiting to hear what paco thinks

paco just doesn't have the same charm since talking to "him" on April 1st. Maybe my expectations were too high ;).

Frustrating; I've worked hard to learn Perl 5, dang it!

Well, to tell the truth I didn't work that hard (it often shows, I know ;). Since I started reading up on Perl 6 I have been focusing more on learning other languages so I can properly disregard them when Perl 6 comes out.

The coolest language ever. I may never go outside again.

After careful consideration, this one gets my vote. Sure hope it lives up to everyone's expectations :).

...I've always really, really hated the -> operator.

I always really, really loved the -> operator.

I'll miss the "little bugger" :-)

I voted "mixed bag". On a selfish note :

I hope my beloved Perl Book Library is still

    fairly useful with Perl6.

I always really, really loved the -> operator.

Yeah, well my . operator could beat up your -> operator =P.

I hope my beloved Perl Book Library is still fairly useful with Perl6.

I'm looking forward to the new ones that will come out for Perl 6. Any guesses as to who's going to write "the" book? TheDamian? TheLarry? merlyn? paco? ;-)
