There is more than one node with the same name. How do I link to the one that I want?

When you link to a node solely by its title, you may get a node other than one you intended, if there happens to be more than one node with the same title.

To ensure that you link to the precise node that you want, you should link to it by its node ID number, rather than by its title. (Another reason for doing this is because a node's title may change, but its node ID never will.)

Use the form [id://NNN], where NNN is the node's ID number. For example, to make a link to merlyn's homenode that will always work, regardless of who may make another node with the same title, write [id://9073].

See How do I link to a node on this site by number? for more details.
