Don't be frightened! It's me; well sorta... :-)

I'm a 30yo software engineer, majored in Telematics at the University of Twente, the Netherlands, currently working in a software house producing facilities management software.

I've been programming in Perl for about >5 years now, mostly ``smart s‎crip‎ts''. I like Perl so much because of its power and simpleness.
In my day-job I program in Java, but have come to realize that most of the artificial constructs in Java (read: most patterns) simply exist due to lack of expression in Java itself. The funny thing is, Perl does have most of these constructs solved in quite an easy manner... Funny, isn't it?

If you want to know more about me, you should check my homepage (not updated in a _long_ time).
