<h2>The Road to Perl-Wisdom?</h2>
I've tamed the [isbn://0596001320|Llama] to the best of my ability and I'm currently trying to ride the [isbn://0596000278|Camel]. The hump is making it a little difficult to stay on but I'm persevering. I'm also learning to [isbn://1565922433|cook] a little as I try and complete my first journey with the animals, I wouldn't want to waste anything afterall!
</p>
<p>
I'm trying to learn a little object-oriented programming in Perl and finding [perltoot] to be a wonderful friend. :)
</p>
<p>
Some resources I've found useful on and off our monastary (only the most recent ones are shown)...
<ul>
<li>[hacker]'s [id://195872|reply to Secure Session Management] and [id://195717|the thread itself]</li>
<li>[id://20505|Map Tutorial: The Basics]</li>
<li>[Ovid]'s [http://www.easystreet.com/~ovid/cgi_course/|CGI Tutorial]</li>
</ul>
</p>

<h2>Favourite Personal Nodes</h2>
<ul>
<li>[id://198944|Abstract Hedgehog] <a href="#here">1</a></li>
<li>[id://195372|Newbies, trying to help, and where to draw the line?]</li>
<li>[id://188007|Safely transferring information on the internet]</li>
<li>[id://194342|Is it possible to use modules without installing them?]</li>
<li>[id://194578|The necessity of flock-ing files that are only to be read.]</li>
</ul>
oh and it wouldn't be complete without me looking silly...<ul>

<p>
<h2>Any other stuff?</h2>
</p>
<p>
Do you have free-time? Want to learn something of Perl and the perlmonks community? I highly recommend trying out some of these nodes to start with for help and entertainment ... [ybiC], [Turnstep], [crazyinsomniac], [Ovid] and [merlyn].
</p>
<p>
Other things I'm still finding useful to check are [best nodes] and [worst nodes].
</p>
<p>
<h2>Me?</h2>
</p>
<p>
I'm from the UK, spent the last 6 months working in the USA and now I'm working in Canada. Unfortunately most of my work is not Perl related at the moment but that will change... I'll show them! :)

<h2>Notes</h2>
<p>
1 Not the most original of obfuscations in the scheme of things but I was certainly impressed with myself *grin* I was rather dismayed to find out similar things had been done before but I guess until I've had a little more practice these things will happen :)
