Oh, that is definetely good lazy. But in a case like this, it might be useful to first see if you get the same errors using the exact same code, then work from there.
I never do anything without strict either, usually, and that would have been my next move. :) You have moved into a dark place. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
