Oh, so it basically takes the new line off something? Basically...yes. If you change $/ to something other then the new line, it will chomp that insead. `chomp` needs an argument, unless you want to chomp `$_` `#!/usr/bin/perl my $greeting = "Hello World\n"; chomp $greeting; print $greeting` [download]	[reply] [d/l] [select]
