Counting nodes...

'Tis somewhat shaming, it is, but...

i have nodes with negative reputation. They've always had negative rep. It was a greivous mistake, but hey, at the time i didn't know better...

Unfortunately it seems the counting mechanism for nodes i have written is broken, as it doesn't seem to show negative rep nodes in the total. The node has not been reaped, it only has negative reputation, but it is not officially counted among the nodes which can be called "mine".

If pmdevers get some time, could this please be dealt with? Thanks much.

Nice guess. But the rep of the node probably has nothing to do with the problem.

Go to user settings and press "submit" and the count will be recomputed.

That's remarkably fascinating and slightly magical. i don't remember seeing any documentation on that feature before. Is it new? Have i just missed the docs? Please advise...

Regardless of that, it might be nice to have a button that does that (located somewhere in the user settings area) that also explicitly says that it will recompute your total. i don't know what spawned the mismatch, but if it occurs (somewhat) frequently it would be useful to have (yet another) nice, shiny button to help deal with it. Clearly, if it doesn't occur frequently than the button isn't needed. Is there any insight as to why such a mismatch would occur (and how common that occurance would be)? As i said, i find it fascinating...

Thank you for the help, it's nice to know that nothing is broken, and better yet i didn't cause anyone to do any work (other than a couple minor posts :-)...

      again, thank you!

Perhaps it's not counting Q&A answers you've written. I haven't looked at the code lately, but suspect it still doesn't know about those.
