I never like to disagree with a guy named BigJoe but, I find I get very little use out of the "Pocket Reference" There is just not enough to make it a useful part of my library, although it already is. BigJoe you're right when you say that it is for the mid-level perl programmer, but I think by the time a programmer has matured enough to get some use out of it , he's already out-grown it. If your going to carry your Perl Cookbook then you may as well leave the Pocket reference out. | [reply] |
Very true. I seem to "lose" my copy of the Cookbook to other developers, if you know what I mean. But I no longer carry the paper book around because I have it on the Perl Bookshelf CD :)
