Heys ..
Christmas is coming, in all but a week, and it's gotten me thinking about what I'd like, and what I can get other people (always a nightmare) - not least beacuse I've had a whole bunch of people asking what I want and what I've got them :) So, at a risk of being annoying, and to try to bring a little light-hearted festive spirit into the Monastary, I'd like to ask what the one thing is that you'd like most for Christmas to improve your relationship, interaction and scripting talents with Perl? Yes, it's a slow day in the office. Yes, I'm bored. Yes, I probably need to get a life. Yes, this is probably Christmas Wishlists, with a Perl twist, instead of being in the Real World(TM), which I happen to like :) That over with, to start us off, I'd ask for an ingenious device that can translate my amazing (but fundamentally flawed) ideas for scripts that I can't code into perfectly working and fully-optimised code. If only such a thing existed .. *sighs and grins* Here's hoping everyone has a great Christmas and a fun New Year ..
