Hmm, well, there's Clinton's which is close but a little small. The Brunswick is a mad house, so let's skip that place; Madison's is pretty nice, not sure if they serve Guiness. We can certainly do it in your neighbourhood .. and near the subway is good, I prefer to have someone else drive if I have a pint or two.

What if we come east a bit? What's the name of the pub on the north side of bloor across from what's left of varsity staduim?

    Neil Watson
    watson-wilson.ca

Theres the Duke of York or Wellington (Just east of Bedford on the south side of Prince Arthur -- One street north of Bloor). They serve Guiness, they are close to St. George Subway, and usually its a decent vibe and not too hard to get a place to sit. The food is edible as well.

How does that sound? Its not quite opposite of the old Varsity, but quite close anyway...

        Hiya,

The Duke of York's a great choice -- we had our Xmas party there two weeks ago. Nice place.

Is there any part of it that's somewhat smoke-free? We were in the second floor conservatory and that was pretty nice. Guess I better pass this along to the Toronto Perl Mongers to see if any of them wanna come out.

Should we say 630pm for supper, 7pm for beer? I'll probably go straight there from work and have some supper with my beer .. er .. beer with my supper.
