I'm going to experiment to see how many vodka smoothies I have to drink before I can understand the Obfuscated Code nodes. | [reply] |

If they're the proper size (XL), the answer is (in one's best wise old owl voice):
"One<gulp>, Two<gulp>, Three<gulp>...<sound of head hitting floor> - Three!"

There should be a quest to come up with some sort of perl drinking game. I'm not really sure what such a game would entail, but my guilines for such a game would be:
1. Must involve obfus or JAPH code
2. Drinks must be served in those cheapy beach-buckets that you buy for your kids at Kmart
3. Two words: flippers and road-flares
Any ideas?
The Autonomic Pilot; it's FunkyTown, babe.

Personally, I prefer multitasking. I switch between - #perlmonks and
- Diablo 2 as I
- plot my boss' demise. I think he may be onto me, though. So when he tried to confront me about it, I pretended to
- space out while thinking up the best way to
- fork() bomb the guy in the next cubicle while I sip a
- vodka smoothie and pretend everything's fine and dandy.

I didn't see an entry for QUAKE? | [reply] |

Kevman,
If there was a quake option it would have to be split into several categories (of which I play at least):
- Quake Net
- Quake World
- Q3A
- Team Fortress
I left out Quake 2 for obvious reasons.. Its like Quake 1 on valium. :)

I think its a case of "put favorite multiplayer game here"
Although from what I have heard, Diablo 2 has a couple of problems
especially when playing online (Battle.net).

<OVERZEALOUS LITERALISM>
You know...the funny thing about the number (60 when this was written) of
#perlmonks votes right now is that there are only about 7 people in the channel at a time.
Not only do I not see 60 unique visitors over a long period
of time, but (according to this poll), ~ 40 people should be in there during the day (subtract around 20 people who live far away from US).
</OVERZEALOUS LITERALISM>
I guess I should rather grant people the priveledge to escape the drudgery of work by *fantasizing* about #perlmonks...and just maybe, they can live vicariously through
those of us who LIVE #perlmonks.

I prefer the afternoons eating the broasted chicken from the Farmer's Market across the street, sipping a beer, playing Unreal Tournament, and cranking out the Beastie Boys. :) | [reply] |

I don't necessarily fork bomb, but just today I had plenty
of fun echo "\a\c"ing to /dev/pts/x just b/c I'm one of 3
having root with 20 logins to play with. People think they
do something wrong most often and log off. he he | [reply] |

hey, can i vote for more than one? please? please? how about an "all of the above"? | [reply] |

Or an "all of the above" plus:
- coding like a banshee
- driving co-workers insane with loud music
- remembering lunch fondly (ahh, the joys of having an office next door to a Vietnamese restaurant)

uh... infoninja... how does a banshee code?

Careful now, if you accomplish all of these in one afternoon, they may expect you to become more productive.

Or they might give you a raise. Its a tough call.
