Jarkko Hietaniemi, maintainer of the CPAN and co-author of Mastering Algorithms with Perl, will be the pumpking for perl 5.7, the development branch leading to the perl 5.8 release. The current pumpking, Gurusamy Sarathy, will still maintain the 5.6 code.
