Perl News Going Away?

by perlnewsbot (Sexton)
on Jul 26, 2000 at 08:17 UTC ( [id://24407]=perlnews: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

As some of the readers of Perl News, I've been considering "shutting down" Perl News, directing users to use Perl instead. All of the content on Perl News is on use Perl, and we would make sure all of the mail gets sent out to the mailing list as it is now, and we would still have a stripped-down version of the web site for those that just want to read the stories. This is just to make my life simpler and to make the news dissemination process more effective. To find out more or to let your opinion on this be known, hop on over to the article and poll on use Perl.

This is a little confusing, but vroom is not talking above, and it's not *our* Perl News that is being discussed, but the source of our Perl News, which is, well, Perl News. In other words, the article above is about news.perl.org::PerlNews and not perlmonks.org::PerlNews. I'm sure whichever way use.perl goes, it will be mirrored here just fine.
