This is nearly a FAQ here, but yours is graciously stated. There is nothing like perlmonks thriving for any other language.
Here are some resources:
- The comp.lang.c++.moderated newsgroup is a good resource -- Warning, it's mostly about standards issues and laziness is unrewarding there. Lurk before you leap. Their FAQ is excellent.
- The latest edition of Stroustrup's The C++ Programming Language is the book to buy. There are other good books, but none are better than that, and many are not worth the paper they're printed on.
- Stroustrup's home page has links to all sorts of resources.
- You may be able to slip in the occasional question here on CB or posed in terms of Inline::CPP.
Have a good time with it.
