Pod::Usage not right on IRIX (no nroff?)

ccarden has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Greetings, brothers,

This is really more of a system question, but it has to do with not getting Pod::Usage to work perfectly on IRIX (6.5.11m). The module sort of works, but each time it's used there is a complaint from the shell that nroff cannot be found, and then all the =head tags are displayed along with the text (i.e., no nroff, no formatting).

I tried searching sgi's site and just a quick Google search on nroff with IRIX, and my first take on it is that there is no nroff for IRIX after version 5.x.

Does anyone know what's up with this?

If this question is not appropriate for perlmonks, I could use some ideas on where to take it.

Thanks,

ccarden

At the bottom of perldoc Pod::Usage, it lists the author of the module. I would start there. The author may forward you to a more appropriate mail list like the "perl 5 porters," and/or may offer some thoughts about possible work-arounds.
