Neglected tutorials?

Dear brethren,

Having made friar recently, I went through my newly acquired duties and considered all the nodes that still lie in nodes to consider, waiting for final decisions.

What struck me as strange is that there are so many posts submitted for Tutorials and still pending decision.

I don't know exactly how the acceptance process should go. I am referring to footpad's Updating the Tutorials Node.

It seems that the process of promoting to Tutorials has been somehow stopped or delayed. Either way, many posts deserving further consideration are still in limbo.

In an attempt to facilitate the task of the ones who can solve this problem, I made a summary of the current status (as of today).

footpad's criteria state that a minimum of 20 rep should indicate enough acceptance from the community to stick a permanent "tutorial" label on such node. I didn't report the actual rep in my table, but a range, to give an idea of the general feeling on that node. While I believe that a node reputation is not a guarantee of its value, a minimum of upvotes is an indication that at least a few people have a positive opinion on that node.

Enough talking. Here's the raw data. Have your say.

The nodes are listed in the order they are in nodes to consider. The first ones are those that have been waiting longer.

A reply falls below the community's threshold of quality. You may see it by logging in.

It's the whole Tutorial update process that seems to have stopped. There are *many* tutorials that were posted as such (rather than Meditations etc. considered for movement) that have not been added to the main page also - so many, in fact, that I begin to wonder whether Tutorials should be split up into separate sub-category pages, rather than all (or not, as the case may be :) ) on one page.

Personally, I find Tutorials can be one of the most useful sections in the Monastery - in fact, I nearly wrote something similar to this very Discussion a couple of weeks ago when I got frustrated looking for An introduction to POE - something that took a Super Search to find, which seemed a needless waste of resources.

    Cheers, Ben.
